Cosmosophie was born in Madrid in the summer of 2019, founded by Carmen Escalona and Mónica de la Mora, two professionals with extensive experience in the world of children’s fashion.
The brand grew out of a shared passion for fashion and a certain nostalgia for a way of dressing children that seems to have been lost over time: simple yet special garments, beautiful fabrics, impeccable craftsmanship, and a natural elegance that needs no excess.
We find inspiration in old black-and-white photographs, where little girls appear with their hair perfectly styled and dressed for an outing, an ice cream, or simply an afternoon of play.
That spirit lies at the heart of Cosmosophie.
The Luxury of Simplicity
At Cosmosophie, we believe a garment doesn’t need to be extravagant to be special.
We are drawn to what we call quiet luxury: seemingly simple designs that reveal their beauty through their fabrics, prints, finishes, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Our inspiration comes in particular from the archives of great fashion houses, the aesthetics of the 1950s and 60s, and the rich traditions of Spanish and French fashion.
We create feminine, romantic, and timeless pieces, always designed with today’s little girls in mind.

Although Cosmosophie was conceived with an international outlook from the very beginning — our first collection and website were presented in English, and our journey began at international trade fairs — we always knew that we wanted to design and produce our garments in Madrid.
Today, we design our collections in our own studio and work with local ateliers across the Madrid region, building close, long-standing relationships with the people who bring our designs to life.
We believe quality begins long before a garment reaches a store. That is why we pay careful attention to the choice of fabrics, craftsmanship, and finishing details, while fostering working relationships built on respect and fair pricing.
All our garments are made in Spain.
Fabrics, Prints & Thoughtful Details
We love discovering distinctive fabrics and creating our own prints to bring unique and original designs to life.
We combine natural fabrics with other materials whenever their qualities bring a particular texture, drape, or finish to a design.
We pay special attention to the details that aren’t always visible. Most of our garments are fully lined in cotton, and we take great care with every interior finish.
We also love delicate artisanal touches: hand embroidery, special finishes, and processes that we sometimes prepare ourselves in our studio.
Fashion for Every Stage of Childhood
Cosmosophie creates collections for babies, girls, and teens, as well as special lines for First Communion, flower girls, and special occasions.
We care deeply about finding the right balance between childhood and adulthood. That is why our Teen collection holds a special place in our brand: it is designed for girls who no longer want to dress like little children, but who shouldn’t have to adopt an adult aesthetic either.
We want to offer them an alternative: feminine, contemporary, and full of personality, while always remaining age-appropriate.
First Communion & Flower Girl Dresses
In recent years, we have welcomed two very special collections into the Cosmosophie universe: First Communion and Flower Girl.
Both reflect the same philosophy that defines our brand: elegance, simplicity, beautiful fabrics, and meticulous craftsmanship.
Our First Communion dresses can be tailored to each girl’s measurements. We also offer an at-home fitting service, allowing families living outside Madrid to try the designs in the comfort of their own homes before making their final decision.
For our Flower Girl collection, we work closely with each family and, in particular, with the bride. Designs can be personalised in terms of fabrics, colours, lengths, and accessories, allowing children to become part of the wedding’s overall aesthetic.
